Admissions Policy Consultation 2028_29
We are writing to notify you of the consultation on the Quilters Infants and Quilters Junior School Admissions policies 2028_2029.
The consultation period will run from 2nd October 2026 until 20th November 2026 5pm; during this time, parents and other key stakeholders are invited to express their views and any concerns about the admission arrangements at Quilters Infants School and Quilters Junior School.
In accordance with the DfE’s 2021 statutory ‘School Admissions Code’ guidance, as a school we must consult on our admission arrangements when changes are proposed, and at least once every seven years. For this reason, a consultation is currently being held to meet the school’s statutory duty; however, it should be noted that no substantive changes have been made. Our policy has been updated to ensure consistency in terminology and adherence to local admissions practice. A full version of the proposed 2028_2029 admission arrangements, is attached or can be requested in hard copy from the school office.
In accordance with statutory DfE guidance, the consultation will run for at least six weeks and, as an interested party, we are keen to hear your views; therefore, we invite you to participate in the consultation if you have any concerns regarding the matter. The school will publicise the consultation;

• Via the school email and newsletter to parents for Quilters Infants and Quilters Juniors
• Essex County Council by email
• Local Billericay Primary Schools and Secondary Schools, Local Pre-schools by email
• Community Groups by email
All responses to the consultation should be made via email to consultation@quilters-jun.essex.sch.uk and submitted before 5pm on 20th November 2026.
Please note that all responses should outline your personal details, including your name, address and relationship to the school.
At the end of the consultation period, the governing board will meet to consider responses.
The final Admission policies will be then published on the school website.
